Terrence Levarr Thornton was born May 13, 1977, in Bronx borough, New York City. He is popularly called Pusha-T. Thornton was one half of the rap duo Clipse along with his brother, Gene “No Malice”Thornton.

In 1992, Pusha and his brother formed Clipse. In 1997, they were signed to Elektra Records with the help of renowned American record producer and Virginian, Pharell Williams. The Clipse recorded their duo album “Exclusive audio footage” but it was slept on. The duo released two more albums “Lord willin” and “Hell hath no Fury”. Both albums were praised critically and commercially with “Hell hath no Fury” receiving a classic “XXL” rating by XXL.

Pusha T decided to go solo following his signing to GOOD Music in 2010.  After impressive guest appearances on Kanye’s projects and remarkable mixtapes, Pusha released his solo album “My name is my Name”. The album was highly applauded by critics. The Source gave it 4.5 mics and commended it, the Best Rap album. It touched on drugs and cocaine.

Prior to the critical breakdown, Pusha’s word trickery is breathtaking, he can flip words with ease, listen to the tracks “King Push”,”Numbers on the Board” and “Sweet Serenade” from the album “My name is my name”. This is my time, this is my hour/this is my pain/this is my name/this is my power/if it’s my reign, then it’s my shower”. On Numbers on the board he goes “I’m so bossy bitch get of me, it’s a different jingle when you hear this car keys/your SL’s missing an S/ nigga, your plane’s missing a chef/the common theme see they’ve both got wings, if you fly do it to death/it’s only one God and it’s only one crown/so it’s only one king that can stand on this mount. Pusha can also provide adequate detail but what he lacks is subject range. His array of topics mostly covers just drugs and cocaine, making his variety of subjects limited.

He then released another dope album “Darkest before Dawn: The Prelude in 2015. The album sparkled with glowing reviews. Furthermore, Pusha released his third album Daytona” on April 25, 2018 under GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings. Suprisingly, with a playlist of just seven songs, Daytona received a score of 86 out of 100 by Metacritic. Push released his fourth studio album “It’s Almost Dry”.

Following the critical assessment, he comes in at 41st position with the score of 89 points.

Notable Albums; My Name Is My Name, Darkest before Dawn: The Prelude, Daytonna, It’s Almost Dry.
